We wanted to share a couple of reviews of the game with you that we were really pleased with. First is a PC review (Out now on GamersGate, AppUp & IndieCity) by VividGamer who awarded us 9/10:
I feel that the graphics look a bit sharper on the PC. Red Wasp Design also managed to port the quality music and sound effects from the iOS version to the PC without any loss in that area of the game. The dark and sinister tone that the graphics and sound effects gives the game works great for the source material. … As with the iOS version, players can expect to lose themselves when playing Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land. Regardless of whether you spend ten to fifteen minutes per session or play for a couple hours at a time, this title does offer countless hours of playtime.
Second is an Android review by AndroidZoom who gave us 5/5:
The best, its great replayability based on a smart use of experience points and rewards, the awesome and thrilling atmosphere (rather difficult from a non real time strategy game) and a technical flawless side, being a pleasure to rotate and zoom in the screen. Wasted Land may not be the panacea game of casual gamers (who will discover a new brave world, though) but it can definitively be the Holy Grial of strategists and more mature players.
Plus the people at Beasts of War have started a new CthulhuHub and in celebration reviews the iOS version of the game:
All in all Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land is a really engrossing game and a must-buy for any fans of Lovecraft’s tales of tentacled terror. The controls might at first seem slightly daunting, but they are easy to get to grips and you will soon be leading your men to victory or insanity in no time.
Thanks people!!
