Cthulhu Christmas Calendar

Cthulhu Christmas Calendar is the fun way to count down till the stars are right and presents can be opened from their evil  slumber.  Get the app now so you’re ready to count down from the 1st December!  “Red Wasp has produced perhaps the most interesting iPad advent calendar ever.” DigitallyDownloaded.net

“That is not baked which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even pudding may die.”

Christmas with a Cyclopean twist! The app features an original image each day that can be opened, featuring well-loved festive imagery such as Santa, mistletoe, Christmas trees and the like. However these have been merged, mixed, mutated and mashed with other, darker figures drawn from H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. The app is Red Wasp Design’s new fun advent experience that counts down to Christmas with a Cyclopean twist!  For more reviews of a the app, see here.

As well are great art, each day also has a Cthulhu-related question for you to puzzle over and answer, with the finally tally of right and wrong being delivered on the 25th when the score will give you your ‘Mythos rating’. Keep track of the sleeps until Cthulhu-mas with the Cthulhu Christmas Calendar; don’t leave R’lyeh without it…

A hopeful Shoggoth posts a letter to Santa; has it been good enough for presents this year?

Cthulhu Christmas Calendar Credits

  • Stuart Griffin was driven into insanity as he drew the images of forbidden seasonal lore with a neurotic and excited aspect.
  • Michael Devereux, a precocious youth of known genius but great eccentricity, programmed this dreaded but fun application using a non-Euclidian assembler.
  • Tomas Rawlings with his touch of bizarre familiarity with the monstrous texts of history inscribed the words upon the app.
  • Debbie Connor muttered dark incantations and slid into madness as she proof-read all of the text for the app.
  • Dan Pope & Sean Perkins created the music and sounds, drawn from vibrations suggesting nothing on this globe of earth.

This is pretty awesome. Except *puts on hipster glasses and scarf* THIS elder sign: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Elder_sign.jpg as designed by the Big Man himself, will always be superior to the Derleth version (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Elder_sign_derleth.jpg)

  2. Lorenz says:
